Who we are:

In this frenetic age of megastores and e-commerce, it is comforting to know that there still remains within our community a place where time has gracefully been held at bay.  The Bookshelf located in Madeiara, is beginning its 40th year of service.  True to the vision of its founders this store continues to be a small, independent retailer where every book is carefully selected by the current owners. While paying close attention to contemporary literary trends and bestseller lists, The Bookshelf continues its rich tradition of personalized sevice.
